Were you looking for information about Tuberculosis? Tuberkulose is a common misspelling of tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis is a chronic bacterial infection. It is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, a bacterium that usually infects the lungs. Most people with tuberculosis have the latent form of the disease, in which the bacteria become inactive but remain alive in the body and can become active later. If not treated properly, the infection can be fatal. Treatment involves taking several different antibiotics for at least six months (and in some cases, up to several years).
